Job Description

We have received National Lottery funding over 2 years to establish EdShift @The YouthBase, a diverse multiservice arts base in the heart of Halifax, which we established to meet children and young people’s relationships, emotional wellbeing, and sexual health needs. EdShift @The YouthBase is an integral component of EdShift’s strategic vision, providing us with further capacity to protect the emotional health and wellbeing of children and young people and empower them with the skills and awareness to aspire to and achieve healthy, equal, and fulfilling relationships through the transformative power of the arts.

The EdShift @TheYouthBase Practitioner is a crucial role, improving the quality of life of children and young people impacted by domestic abuse and preventing others from entering harmful relationships by engaging with them at the earliest opportunity through community-based activities. You will work alongside the CEO to increase engagement at EdShift @The YouthBase, enhancing our relationships with stakeholders, community organisations, new and existing partners. You will plan, develop and oversee EdShift @The Youth Base’s community, youth and stakeholder engagement events, help raise funds and generate local interest in EdShift@The YouthBase.
