WE ALL benefit from gender equality

Gender equality prevents violence against women and girls, and makes our communities safer and healthier.

Gender inequality is a root cause of violence against women and girls.

The best way to prevent violence against women and girls is to fight and campaign for gender equality.

Gender equality is good for the economy. Every day that we fail to deliver gender equality, we pay the price.

Closing the gender pay gap could add £150 billion to the UK economy.
$12 trillion could be added to global GDP by advancing women’s equality.
Gender equality is not just a women and girls’ issue.
We urge men and boys to join women and girls to push for gender equality.
Over 2 billion women don’t have the same employment options as men. At the current rate, it will take about a century to close the global pay gap

In the face of this data, gender equality needs to be a priority FOR ALL OF US.

By men and boys using and sharing their power and privilege, they can shift the dominant norms and ideas about gender and masculinity and challenge the beliefs and attitudes that drive inequality between men and women.
