I am the founder of Grinning Graphics, a branding and web design company that I run with my partner Carl. EdShift captivated me from day one when the organization was still in the planning stages. I knew I wanted to be involved. I am passionate about the power of design and believe strong branding and an online presence can help organisations like EdShift to be taken seriously, engage with their users and to be successful with funders. It has been an ongoing joy to be able to provide design and digital support for EdShift over the years.
As a passionate advocate for young people’s mental health and wellbeing and for young people to nurture healthy relationships I wanted to offer additional support to EdShift by joining the board. The work that EdShift provides for children impacted by domestic abuse, unhappy homes and childhood trauma really resonated with me. It is so vital that children and young people are able to express their emotions and feelings when they are living in difficult situations. As an arts graduate, the fact that EdShift use arts therapy to connect with children and help them to open up was another factor in why EdShift has captured my heart.
As a board member I am able to provide advice regarding digital presence, marketing and brand strategy and offer up guidance on campaigns and ways to enhance the organization’s brand identity overall. It is a privilege to be a part of something so special, to work alongside a very impressive and tenacious team and to be along for the journey.
