Hello! I’m Nathan and I am the YouthBase and Community Practitioner at EdShift. It’s such a joy to enthuse my creativity and skills for an organisation that is actively supporting the emotional health and well-being of young people impacted by domestic abuse. As I am Bradford born and bred, I am still learning so much about Calderdale as a borough – so do bear with me if I don’t know something!
I know just how difficult navigating life can be as a young person, the feelings of being misunderstood and labelled by society. This is why I am passionate about young people as the voices of the next generation, and it is all our responsibility to ensure they live fulfilling lives as they blossom into adolescence.
Outside of EdShift, I come from a background of socially engaged photography. I love working with communities to facilitate photography workshops that increase engagement in the creative arts. I am also a huge advocate for using photography and visual art to create stories and amplify the voices of marginalised communities
