I’m Nina and I have been supporting Edshift for around 6 years now, after meeting Ellie at an event, we instantly realised we share similar views on supporting children and young people.
I have over 20 years’ experience of working with communities, having graduated at Huddersfield University as a Post Grad in 2004. I have worked on a range of projects such as detached/outreach youth work, youth clubs, youth parliament, community events, and supporting the development of community organisations.
I have also previously worked within children’s mental health educating parents, schools and community organisations in supporting children and young people as a CAMHS Education Links Worker at Northorpe Hall Child and Family Trust. I currently divide my time between working as a HR Director for a local office supplies company, working as a Practitioner for Barnardo’s, supporting young family carers in Kirklees and further establishing Dream Catchers Foundation CIC.
I have a good understanding of the social and political environment in which charities and social purpose organisations currently function, bringing together a wide experience of day-to-day knowledge and high-level strategic expertise.
