David joins EdShift with a strong background in the finance industry, leadership, and emotional well-being. After a successful career as a director in UK and international finance sector, he founded The Resilience Development Co., a multi-award-winning training company. Through this, he spent years coaching executives and teaching people all over the world how to build mental, emotional and social strength.

David’s experience also includes working with government to design engagement strategies for major projects and helping with high-level reviews of mental health strategy. He has hands-on experience running a charity, too, having served as a trustee for Family Nursing & Home Care, where he helped guide the team through the challenges of the COVID pandemic.

Closer to home, David is a volunteer Scout Leader in West Yorkshire, which keeps him connected to the everyday challenges young people face. His mix of practical business experience, global resilience training and dedication to youth work fits perfectly with EdShift’s goals.

“I joined EdShift because I believe real change happens when you mix passionate people with practical skills. Throughout my career worldwide, I’ve learned that true empowerment isn’t just about getting through a tough time—it’s about giving people the right tools to take control of their own lives. Helping to guide a healthcare charity through the pandemic and working on government mental health projects showed me just how much a dedicated team can achieve when they have the right support.

“EdShift doesn’t patch over problems; they give children who have experienced trauma the emotional strength and lifelong skills they need to break cycles and build healthy, equal relationships. I am incredibly excited to use my background in finance, strategy, and resilience training to help this fantastic team grow and make an even bigger difference for the next generation.”
