Hello, I’m Lauren but my friends and family call me Lol! I am the Administrator here at EdShift. It is my job to keep everything organised and make sure any questions you have are answered.
For the last decade I have worked in both digital industries, and services supporting vulnerable people struggling with long term mental health issues and addiction. I have a passion for helping others, and want to help promote positive change and education for the next generation.
I have always loved anything creative, and this started out with a passion for photography long before the iPhone ever existed! So, to be a part of a team which focuses on creativity and the power of expression through art, is so exciting.
My other loves are food, music and travelling. I enjoy exploring new places and putting my photography skills to the test. I am still relatively new to West Yorkshire and so have been enjoying finding new favourite places (mostly food spots) around this part of the country.
I am a parent to two young, fiercely independent and wild girls. Despite how difficult and crazy life can seem with them, I am doing my best to raise strong, motivated and kind children, and give them the courage to use their voice to advocate for their place in this world. I feel there is so much power in how we use our voices and this is something which should always be used to better ourselves and the world we live in. I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to live a safe, and fulfilling life, especially as a child when the world feels so big. I am proud to be a part of that mission, by giving children and families a supporting, friendly space to escape their everyday challenges.
